about

Coming Home was the first song that Tracey and Raevennan wrote together and the first single they released, in February 2014. The album version features some extra instrumentation from some very special guests.

lyrics

I spend more time on the road than I do in your arms
When my night falls, your sun rises; I’m out with the tide
I will wait for dawn to break, the road is long but I’ll find my way
‘Cause I’ve been running from my troubles
The more I fear the less I want to stay

There’s my city, lights shimmering on the skyline
Oh, Manchester you look so pretty in the night time
Hello my rain-soaked, red-brick respite
I’m coming home
I’m coming home

When I miss you, I just tell myself to live each minute as I go
I love the journey, to move so easy and return to the place that I know
The only thing I know that’s certain is the way that everything can change
And in the wake we sway, we tumble and our hearts are what remain

There’s my city, lights shimmering on the skyline
Oh, Manchester you look so pretty in the night time
Hello my rain-soaked, red-brick respite
I’m coming home
I’m coming home

There’s my city, lights shimmering on the skyline
Oh, Manchester you look so pretty in the night time
Hello my rain-soaked, red-brick respite
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
